| Hey do any of you ADBA people out there know if LLP is allowed to enter pulling competitions, or are they strictly allowed to enter "fun shows" only....
THANKS! | |

| As I understand it, the LLP is really only good for fun shows. And since fun shows don't make you have registration anyway -- at least the ones around here don't -- its kinda pointless. The ADBA did start allowing spayed/neutered dogs to pull, but you still have to have full registration (either single registration or litter registration). | |

| Hang papers If it's an altered dog, I don't see anything wrong with it. | |

| From the ADBA's website. Emphasis mine:
"This program has been set up for owners of purebred ‘unregisterable’ American Pit Bull Terriers, that are spayed or neutered. This program will allow dogs with LPP status to enter fun classes at all ADBSI sanctioned shows. This includes junior handler classes and fun classes such as judges choice, best brindle, best red/red nose, best blue or any other fun classes held by a club at an ADBSI sanctioned show. A dog with LPP status is verified as a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier as is reasonably possible using visual inspection. "
So in other words, fun classes. Not weight pull.
BUT... If you're interested in weight pull, spay Sydney and get a UKC LP registration on her. They'll let you do weight pull. ETA: Or you could always pull with one of the other orgs, like the APA, IWPA, UPF. None of those require registration at all. Just show up and pull.

| I read that before I asked my question, and gathered the same conclusion...but then I heard that someone thought they let LLP dogs pull now, so I thought I would ask if anyone active in the ADBA had any idea because there are a good many events coming my way and the both the pulling clubs near me are ADBA...
...doesn't mean we can't still pull for fun, and go to the events to cheer everyone else on!

| LPP is Limited Performance Program, which doesn't make any sense since they don't let the dogs do performance events. Its basically for purebred but unregisterable APBTs to do ADBA fun shows. LP is the UKC's Limitied Privlege license. Its for purebred or mixed breed dogs that have been spayed/neutered to do obedience, agility, weight pull, dock diving, basically all of their performance events. No conformation. | |

| Let me know what you find out for sure, I have people asking me here and I'm not sure what to tell them either, I usually send them to the ADBA website. | |
