Lets see I found this forum while i was searching the net, and figured i would join and see what it is all about. i am not one that will ever make the claim that i know everything that there is to know about this breed or its history, what i can tell you is that i spend alot of my time talking with people about the breed and the issues that we all face.
Not to sound like a polition but i do prefer the game lines but i do have respect for all of the pit bull breeds as viewed by the public because it is in my opinion at the end of the day what everyone of us do will ultimatly effect each other.
I wanted to finish this i had to run last night so here goes the rest.
I have had some form of pit bull mix for over 15 years, it has not been until the past few years when i started doing my online store that i was able to see just how bad some of the problems this breed faces really is, it is because of that, that i have been becoming more involved with the breed and the people with in the community. I have worked a little bit with some rescues, I run items for Fresno Bully Rescue (which is a smaller rescue but every little bit helps) and they recieve 100% of the profit for items sold, I also do the same thing for my friends At Justice For Gage (if you do not know about them (
www.justiceforgage.com) if there were ever an example of a hate crime toward Pit Bulls this would be it.
My time is mostly spent either working on my store or communicating with others that have had problems because they own a pit bull, and i try to advise them the best that i can. I also spend alot of time on myspace passing along breed information, mostly bsl updates, but for me to rememeber it all is impossible. I feel that it is important to forget about some of the issues for a while to fully enjoy what we have, but like it or not BSL is a serious issue that is sooner or later going to effect each and everyone of us.
I am not one that will get into some heated debate about whos blood line is better or why this dog is more correct than the next, i respect what it is but i feel time spent arguing about it is taking me away from something much more important, in my opinion if you feel the ned to argue amoungs ourselves then you are no different than the guys who are hurting this breed and getting them simply for social status or a leash ornament. Although I do find humor in the postings i see promoting a rare blue nose pup.
I currently have one dog she is 3 years old and a mccoy/jeep mix and she is with me 24/7. Since the day she was born there maybe 12 nights total that she has not slept by my side. I have already posted a picture of her in the gallery.
