PostSubject: Heya from the Netherlands   Fri 18 Jul 2008, 10:52 am

Hi all, my name is Cynthia and I live with my husband 2 Staffies, Thor and Misty, 2 cats, Hermione and Asjura and my bearded dragon, Anni (before it was Amadeus, before we found out it was a girl duh ) in Holland.
Both my dogs come from a breeder (until recently all pits/pitbull type dogs except papered Staffies where illegal here).
Thor we got as an 8 week old pup, but we'd been waiting for 7 months for him to finally arrive Cool and is a real sweetheart with ADHD lol! , he loves biking, walking, playing and stealing bedspace from mum (aka, me). I originally started him out in obedience, but unfortunatly he didn't cut it so we decided to just have fun with him grin ..... In a few months I'll be starting him in doggydance (yes, you read correct...I'm gonna look like a fool, but during some practice lessons he had a blast, which is what matters to me). He did some showing aswell, until I decided he wasn't going to be used for breeding and had him "fixed".
Misty is a somewhat different story..... We got her at 7 months old, because her former owners were divorcing and neither could/wanted to keep her. Her breeder took her back and gave us a call, because he knew we where in love with her dad and granddad and had allready expressed interest in a dog fathered by one of these gentlemen....... It turns out Misty and Thor both had the same mother Very Happy , which we both liked aswell. When we went out to meet her, I instantly fell in love, dispite her being overweight and a bit smelly. She was soo sweet with the families kids and really very sweet, even though she had just come there and was in heat for the first time. needless to say, we took her home with us, only to find out she didn't respond to her name (which I then altered immidiatly, since I didn't like it Laughing ) and she wasn't housebroken brick . Lots of patience and training later, she's growing up to be a real classy lady that gets along great with her brother (except for feeding times, which I have to moniter). Atm I'm training Misty in obedience (just below conpetition level, but we're progressing nicely) and contemplating about doing retrieve work or maybe agility. She loves swimming, getting attention (read: slobbering and nibbeling) and working obedience.

Well, I think that's all lol!

Here some pictures of my monstars Very Happy
